The events are endless, from street fairs to community celebrations, but for Sloane it is always about face painting. I do not have much time for reading these days, but I did finish The Obstacle is the Way: The Timeless Art of Turning Trials into Triumph by Ryan Holiday and it’s still on my nightstand next to Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. Ryan was kind enough to send me his other books, too. I’ll report on those later. “Wherever we are, whatever we’re doing and wherever we are going, we owe it to ourselves, to our art, to the world to do it well.”
